Foot Care Clinic Includes:

Your foot care begins with a soothing soak in a warm salt water solution, followed by an assessment of your foot and lower leg for diseases and disorders, as a proactive first-line of defense.

  • Toenails are properly cut by a licensed professional
  • Feet are checked, and records kept for comparison if any issues or changes occur
  • We finish with a short, relaxing foot and lower leg massage
There is day and there is night and this is DAY-awesome!
Roy loves coming to KLM – he looks forward to his visits. It is such a cheerful place. And his feet feel wonderful when he leaves.
Two years ago Mary said she didn’t like the looks of a little black spot on one of my toes and recommended I have it checked. I procrastinated, however Mary would remind me every month… 1 yr later it tested positive for Melanoma… I lost my toe but not my life thanks to her diligence and care to detail.
As a caregiver at Werner Foster Care, I want to give a shout out to KLM for taking such great care of our resident's feet. Most of these men cannot cut their own toe nails and have never taken care of their feet. Several of them are diabetic and the foot care they receive at KLM is a real treat. Mary is fast, efficient and treats them like ‘Kings’. I highly recommend them.
When I can’t see the fine details of my toes…Mary can and takes care of them for me. She is the BEST!
Started in 2010 and the service has been consistently excellent. Friendly and helpful in all instances.
My feet have been cared for several years by KLM – the best service to be found!
A very pleasant place to get my nails clipped. Smiles everywhere… and My service dog, Lady, always get a treat.
KLM personnel are efficient, helpful and pleasant… professional place to visit.
Mary at KLM is very good with my feet and accommodating.
The friendly staff are very patient and respectful.
KLM is the BEST. After too many surgeries, hubby was wearing me out – I'm not too good with toes. Mary and her wonderful ladies are the best ever!!!

Foot Care Tips and FAQs

We have all heard the saying “take care of your feet and they will take care of you.” This is more than being able to walk from place to place. Lack of mobility effects our whole body health right down to the basic digestive process, circulation, fluid retention, and much more. Plain and simple, the lack of movement slows everything down. Proper foot care increases long-term mobility and improves health.

Who is this for?

Anyone! Especially those with an injury or physical limitation, diabetes, and senior citizens, who are unable to inspect and properly care for their feet. It is vital to avoid infection and maintain good mobility.

We also provide care and assessment for those suffering from ingrown toenails.

We have a new location! ...

We are open for business on October 4, 2021 at our new location, Delta Triad #25, 1142 Willagillespie Rd, Eugene OR. Call now to schedule your appointment, 541-521-0552.

Some Foot Care Tips ...

  1. Don't Ignore foot pain - if pain persists, see a podiatric physician.
  2. Inspect feet regularly. Pay attention to color and temperature of your feet. Look for thick or discolored nails (a sign of developing fungus), and check for cracks or cuts in the skin. Peeling, scaling or growths are NOT considered normal.
  3. Wash feet regularly, especially between the toes, and be sure to dry completely.
  4. Trim toenails straight across, but not too short. Be careful not to cut nails in corners or on the sides; it can lead to ingrown toenails. Persons with diabetes, poor circulation, or heart problems should not treat their own feet because they are more prone to infection.

Only a trained professional can assure you that your toes and feet are in good shape. We see your feet from all angles, including the bottoms. Unless you are a contortionist, you cannot get the same up close view of your feet. Inspecting your feet from all sides helps to prevent problems from getting out of control. For diabetics this it is crucial to make sure you have a professional foot care exam once a month. Give us a call, we're happy to answer any questions you may have.

My podiatrist referred me and they made me feel so at ease. Great peace of mind getting such good foot care!
KLM is a blessing for me because of my arthritic hands that make it painful to cut my own nails. The staff are friendly and efficient.
I cannot see to take care of my feet and nails. Being diabetic it makes my daughter jittery to cut my nails for me. I am so happy to be able to have an affordable clinic available for monthly trims – love the massage too!
As I am a diabetic, Mary and Staff help to ensure that my nails and feet are in the best shape they can be.
Mary DeCuman, KLM has taken care of my nails/feet for over 5 years. She also took care of my Husband until his passing.  I have always been very satisfied and recommend her to everyone.

"I wanted to ensure my clients have healthy, happy feet, and enjoy the experience in a safe, clean environment..." –Mary C. DeCuman, LNT | OWNER

In 2006, Mary DeCuman, a State of Oregon licensed nail technician since 1984, discovered the need for a licensed nail tech to provide foot care services. From the first day providing foot care at a senior center, Mary realized she could improve on their processes and assure the center provided foot care services which were sanitary and up to code. From this simple beginning, KLM Institute Foot Care clinics was born.

Mary began refining the process by changing the way the services were provided, and also put in place the use of State-required implements and sanitation procedures to ensure all clinics were up to code.

Mary continued refining her clinic process, while expanding her outreach to other senior centers in the Eugene-Springfield region. In 2013, Mary combined multiple area clinics into one foot care clinic, located at Delta Triad #25, 1142 Willagillespie Rd, Eugene. Her business, based solely on doctor’s or word-of-mouth referrals, continues to thrive today.
