We have all heard the saying “take care of your feet and they will take care of you.” This is more than being able to walk from place to place. Lack of mobility effects our whole body health right down to the basic digestive process, circulation, fluid retention, and much more. Plain and simple, the lack of movement slows everything down. Proper foot care increases long-term mobility and improves health.
Anyone!
Especially those with an injury or physical limitation, diabetes, and senior citizens, who are unable to inspect and properly care for their feet. It is vital to avoid infection and maintain good mobility.
We also provide care and assessment for those suffering from ingrown toenails.
We are open for business on October 4, 2021 at our new location, Delta Triad #25, 1142 Willagillespie Rd, Eugene OR. Call now to schedule your appointment, 541-521-0552.
Only a trained professional can assure you that your toes and feet are in good shape. We see your feet from all angles, including the bottoms. Unless you are a contortionist, you cannot get the same up close view of your feet. Inspecting your feet from all sides helps to prevent problems from getting out of control. For diabetics this it is crucial to make sure you have a professional foot care exam once a month. Give us a call, we're happy to answer any questions you may have.
In 2006, Mary DeCuman, a State of Oregon licensed nail technician since 1984, discovered the need for a licensed nail tech to provide foot care services. From the first day providing foot care at a senior center, Mary realized she could improve on their processes and assure the center provided foot care services which were sanitary and up to code. From this simple beginning, KLM Institute Foot Care clinics was born.
Mary began refining the process by changing the way the services were provided, and also put in place the use of State-required implements and sanitation procedures to ensure all clinics were up to code.
Mary continued refining her clinic process, while expanding her outreach to other senior centers in the Eugene-Springfield region. In 2013, Mary combined multiple area clinics into one foot care clinic, located at Delta Triad #25, 1142 Willagillespie Rd, Eugene. Her business, based solely on doctor’s or word-of-mouth referrals, continues to thrive today.
